This little guy started out as a piece of Nigerian aquamarine weighing 259 carats. The rough material had some structural difficulties near what would become the skull's base. As a result, there was not enough material to include a lower jaw......but we did carve one for it later. The skull is hollowed-out to the lower edge of the eye sockets.
